ISTE is offering a small number of complimentary registrations to ISTE 2010 to be held June 27 - 30 to affiliates whose members attended NECC 2009. In response to this offer, NJAET is asking members who plan to attend ISTE 2010 to identify themselves. Members to receive a complimentary registration will be randomly chosen from the pool of members who are planning to attend this year's conference in Denver, Colorado. To have a chance to be one of the lucky people to win a free registration to ISTE 2010 send in your information asap.

NMSTE CONFERENCE Innovations in Leadership & Learning
NMSTE, the New Mexico Society in Technology Education would love to have some of their fellow ISTE affiliate members join them for their first annual New Mexico Ed Tech Conference, Innovations in Leadership & Learning, April 22 - 23, 2010, and have secured a discounted registration fee of $99 for all of their fellow affiliate members! This includes all NJAET members. Type in the code ISTE for the affiliate discount when you register. They need support to help them make this conference a success.

NETTREKKER CONTEST AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO ISTE 2010 Personalized Learning in Action Video Contest
netTrekker announces the netTrekker Personalized Learning in Action video contest. If teachers submit a video clip demonstrating how they use netTrekker (and related tools) to engage students in a personalized learning experience, they could win one of two ISTE 2010 scholarships valued at $1500 each. Another 5 winners will receive a BrainPOP classroom subscription and another 20 will receive a BrainPOP hat. A special 30-day free trial is being offered to non-customers to enable teachers and students to access and use netTrekker as part of their video submission. The CRSTE 2010 CyberConference is being held February 21 - March 5, 2010.
More than 900 people have registered for this conference and more than 1,000 attendees, including walk-ins, are expected by the time the conference ends.
Registrants come from 40 states, Canada, Mexico, Africa, Asia, Australia, Central and South America, and Europe! This suggests that the impact our region can have goes far beyond our own backyard. Think globally!

CREATING 21ST CENTURY NEW JERSEY SCHOOLS PHASE 2 – Leadership
The NJ Department of Education is offering no-cost Leadership workshops as part of PHASE 2 of the Creating 21st Century New Jersey Schools. Navigating the Legal Landmines around New Technologies workshop is being offered on March 16 and May 7. District administrators and school board members are invited to attend either the morning or afternoon session. The workshop is being presented by the senior Attormeys from the National School Boards Association, and is sure to be beneficial to everyone who is grappling with these issues.
